Job Summary:

The Paralegal will play a crucial role in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and maintaining case files. Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including briefs, contracts, pleadings, and other legal correspondence
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and ensure accuracy of information
  • Organize and maintain legal files, documents, and databases
  • Draft and edit legal documents and correspondence, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations
  • Coordinate and manage case calendars, including scheduling and organizing meetings, hearings, and court appearances
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
  • Prepare summaries and reports for attorneys based on legal research and analysis
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, conducting witness interviews, and compiling evidence
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and legal regulations that may impact the organization
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including managing correspondence, answering phone calls, and maintaining calendars

    Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
  • Proven experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar legal support role
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and concepts
  • Proficient in legal research methods and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in using legal software and technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution
  • Experience in a specific area of law (e.g., corporate law, intellectual property, family law, etc.)
  • Familiarity with case management software and document management systems
